How We Began
March 2007
Two women shared with each other their own stories of the challenges involved with brain injuries. One woman was the mother of a TBI survivor, the other was a survivor herself. These two women, Jeanne Woolsey and Roxanne Bollin, shared their experiences from two very different points of view but with similar frustrations and challenges. Locating resources and getting through the maze of where and how to find help led them to others facing similar situation. Noting the lack of resources locally they determined there was a greater need.
Seeing that the need for support was the key and missing link and determined to find a way to fill this need the two decided to start on their own journey. After finding a good facilitator they developed a local TBI/brain injury support group.
Heads Up is the result – designed to provide local community support and networking.
We are survivors and supporters Heads Up and moving forward together!
